Renewable Fuel Solutions

In a world that is rapidly shifting away from conventional energy sources, the immense potential of waste as a fuel source is being recognised and harnessed. Energy derived from waste presents a sustainable opportunity to reduce emissions not only from landfills but also from high-polluting coal, gas, and oil. As heavy industries strive to lower their emissions footprint to address sustainability concerns, resource preservation, and escalating costs, waste emerges as a leading alternative green fuel source, offering the added benefit of a circular economy.

With a strong presence along the entire East Coast, BINGO has the capability to utilise a portion of our waste stream, which traditionally ended up in landfills, by converting it into Processed Engineered Fuel (PEF). PEF refers to residual waste that has undergone meticulous processing and shredding to meet stringent industry specifications, boasting a similar calorific value to coal. Heavy industry, including cement kilns, paper mills, steel manufacturing plants and sugar mills, can effectively replace coal with PEF to meet their emission reduction targets.

Striving for environmental excellence

BINGO is committed to reducing the environmental impact, for their own business and for the benefit of their customers. Maintaining a social license to operate is of utmost importance, which is why BINGO has set clear objectives and implement programs to minimise the effects of their activities on the environment and human health. This includes addressing various issues such as surface water and groundwater pollution, contaminated land, noise and air quality. Ensuring compliance with environmental and planning laws, and ISO accredited environmental management systems are consistently maintained.

Moreover, BINGO are actively working towards reducing consumption of natural resources and contribution to climate change. BINGO's commitment to supporting communities after climate events is unwavering. In the aftermath of the devastating 2019/20 bushfires and the subsequent floods in 2021 and 2022, BINGO stood by the NSW Government, local governments, and affected communities, offering vital assistance in the clean-up process. BINGO provided essential skip bin services to impacted areas to accommodate for the large volumes of waste generated by the bushfires and floods.
