Nepean Hospital in Kingswood, near Penrith, is a new facility providing services for patients and carers. Additionally, the hospital is a teaching hospital for the University of Sydney’s medical students, providing nursing and allied health training. The hospital needed Cyanosis lighting which helps present decreased oxygen attached to red blood cells in the bloodstream, causing a bluish-purple hue to the skin, such as the lips, mouth, earlobes, and fingernails. Supplying all 14 floors of the hospital with downlights and indirect troffers ‘LED ceiling panels’ the Nepean Hospital is set to help.
