A strategic decision maker with a strong vision for the business, Francis is always in the background, juggling the day-to-day, while laying the groundwork for CoLab to reach its potential. A friendly and supportive director, Francis always has time for people, taking time out of his busy day to ask how everyone’s going and listening to see how he can best support them. You can usually catch Francis, hard at work, burning the midnight oil or wishing everyone a warm hello in the office, staff kitchen and hallways. 

One of the biggest personalities in the office, Matt seems to bounce into work with tenacity and enthusiasm every morning. From business meetings to helping in the office and production areas when all hands are on deck, Matt understands the lighting business from the ground up. Providing direction and guidance for the business, Matt is a man of the people, enjoys chatting with everyone, having a laugh or two after hours and is someone to share a drink with at the Christmas party.

From its humble beginnings to the present, Jenssen has been there every step of the way. With a solid background in product development and project management Jenssen has been instrumental in growing CoLab to what it is today. His passion and skills in design and quality echo throughout the office and he has a special gift in bringing client’s bespoke lighting ideas to life. When you don’t find Jenssen obsessing over a project, you’ll usually find him tendering to his plant collection with a keen interest in the unusual, hard to obtain or difficult to grow or hiking in the Blue Mountains.

Tina is the graphic designer at CoLab and has been part of the fabric of the company shortly after its inception. Well-informed on all CoLab’s products and services, Tina's attention to detail and brand identity, makes sure CoLab's brand is consistent. When she’s not hard at work, designing our datasheets, brochures, catalogues, and other company documents, she’s always up for a joke and a good laugh.

Not just the friendly face who looks after accounts, shipping and purchasing, Jannette is the glue that keeps the team at CoLab together. Whether it’s ensuring all details are correct on an order with production or chasing goods from overseas, she ensures that all CoLab orders get out the door and arrive at their destination safely. 

The newest member of the CoLab team, Jay comes to us with years of lighting experience, more than he’s happy to acknowledge. Project quoting, client consultant and the occasional delivery driver, he is a man of multi-disciplines, a wicked sense of humour and a bit of a snackaholic. Jay is either spending time with his children or his other passion… dj’n.

A listener to all, he likes to take the time to understand people and what they want, or better still, need. With humble beginnings as traditional typesetter through to mainstream advertising and the inevitable transition to marketing, Adam comes to CoLab with a ‘big picture’ approach, while not forgetting those essential details. Experienced in the lighting industry, he’s got a grasp on the lighting lingo. One of those happy fella’s, he’s usually laughing, often at his own jokes.

With a background in lighting and fabrication, Joe brings skill and experience to the CoLab operations team. From receiving orders and bespoke requests to organising a team of skilled fabricators and assemblers to ensure all orders are prioritised, coordinated and dispatched on time, Joe is the backbone of production. A friendly and jovial character, Joe brings a sense of calm and lightness to a busy operations environment. The CoLab team appreciates Joe and is forever trying to get him to join the Friday pub lunches.

Second in charge of Operations and with a history of management experience Gaetano is another important part of the team at CoLab. Ensuring stock is fulfilled and allocated against orders, the warehouse is organised and the coordinated processes of the team behind Joe, Gaetano helps ensure the smooth running of operations. A convivial, humble, and helpful member of the team with a quirky disposition and wicked sense of humour that you only find out when you get him at lunch. 

Angelo is a skilled problem solver, electrician and a great asset to CoLab, seamlessly troubleshooting any range of issues and providing technical and electrical support to all areas of the business. From ensuring any post installation issues are dealt with promptly and rectified, to being integral to the creation of the CoLab showroom, Angelo is responsible for the successful integration of CoLab products into different environments and settings. Angelo is also partial to 5 o’clock drinks and has a wicked sense of humour when you catch him after hours or at lunch.

Long time serving member, Linh, is another treasured asset of the Colab family. With a bright and cheery disposition, Linh brings a lot of joy and enthusiasm to the team. An experienced and focused production hand, Linh is responsible for aiding in the production of most of CoLab’s linear systems, profiles, and other standard products. If you’re lucky enough to grab Linh away from her workbench she’ll be sure to have you laughing and giggling along with her in no time. 

A former electrician with a lot of knowledge, patience and skill George is one of the newer members of the CoLab production team. Helping with the assembly and production of linear profiles and systems, downlights and other standard products, George alongside Linh is responsible for the production of many of CoLab’s core products. A man of few words, he is a quiet character within the team who brings his experience and willingness to adapt and find new ways of working in his role at CoLab.

Part of the company since day dot, Dino is the longest standing and one of the more experienced members of the production team. As a versatile and key part of the fabrication team you can usually find him doing a range of tasks from preparing profiles to welding, powder coating and everything in between. A man of few words, Dino is always hard at work, but does enjoy a hearty chuckle when you can pull him away from his work.

Partner at work and in crime to Dino, Suzy is instrumental in the factory, assisting in preparing products for welding and final finishes in the powder coating facility. Hard working, and one of the kindest souls Suzy keeps Dino chuckling.
